It has both MU-MIMO and OFDMA technology to connect with several devices, which is great if you have a lot of smart devices. It can hit a maximum speed of 1,201Mbps in ideal conditions, although, realistically, the farther away you get from it, the more drastically the speeds will fall. Still, it’s an excellent budget Wi-Fi 6 router.
This device from TP-Link earned a spot on our list of best Wi-Fi 6 routers for 2023 thanks to its affordable price tag. Right now, you can snag it for even less at Amazon. It’s equipped with four beamforming antennas that provide reliable coverage for small- to medium-size homes, and boasts blazing fast speeds of up to 1.8Gbps.
The Asus RT-AX55 has an 80MHz bandwidth for better capacity and efficiency to support the latest Wi-Fi standard. With ultrafast speeds of about 1,800Mbps, you’ll get 1,201Mbps on a 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. This is a unique-looking router that’s probably great if you want to squirrel your router away somewhere in a nook instead of having to give up a large flat surface for it. It has the same Internet of Things tech as other routers that allow it to connect up to 50 different devices, and it has a 3,000Mbps speed. But again, real-life performance is not going to be that good. That isn’t an issue, though, since most households likely won’t have anything faster than 1,000Mbps installed.

It can also handle up to 1,500Mbps, although, again, expect about half of that in real-life situations. The Tenda Nova MX3 system is also great if you have a lot of smart devices since it can connect up to 80 devices at once, which is impressive. Of course, it can only hit a maximum of 3,000Mbps, unlike the 6,000Mbps of the AX6000, but unless you’re running better than gigabit internet, you probably won’t notice the difference.
