New HomePod and HomePod mini features set to arrive
On the latest Homekit Insider podcast episode, we cover the release of the updated HomePod and discuss new features coming to the HomePod mini.
Apple’s surprised users with the launch of the second-generation HomePod last week but what was even more surprising was the huge array of new features arriving on existing HomePod minis.
We start the episode breaking down all the changes with the updated HomePod and discussing the new features we saw — and didn’t see.
After that, we do a hands-on demo of the new features coming to HomePod mini. Apple activated the temperature and humidity sensors that can be used with HomeKit.
There was a small amount of news we touched on too not from Apple, such as our roundup of non-HomeKit smart home devices from CES and review the Yale smart safe.
