Acer’s Nitro 5 has long been a popular pick for gamers on tight budgets. This model is $100 off at Newegg and features GeForce RTX 3060 graphics alongside a 12th-gen Core i7 H-series CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. The 15.6-inch display has full HD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. This is about as inexpensive as you’ll find a gaming laptop with a GPU not from Nvidia’s GTX but RTX series.

This Acer Predator model is based on a high-resolution 15.6-inch display and RTX 3070 graphics. The display offers a QHD resolution for a finer picture than that of an FHD display.
