New Sony smart TVs, Roborock's latest vacuum, & a unique humidifier
On this week’s episode of the Homekit Insider podcast, your hosts tackle the new Sony smart TVs, talk about a unique humidifier, and preview an exceptional smart home vacuum.
There was Apple Home news aplenty this week, headlined by Sony’s official 2023 TV lineup. The Japanese company opted not to reveal any televisions at CES this year but has instead delayed them by a few months.
Now we are getting our first look at the new sets with eye-popping specs like 8K, OLED, high refresh rates, and Apple-specific features like HomeKit and AirPlay.
We also discussed the new Netatmo Matter-enabled contact sensor, the Hubitat C8 update, the WiiM AirPlay receiver, and Aqara’s F2 presence sensor on this week’s podcast.
Outside of the news, your hosts provide a review of the SmartMi Rainforest humidifier that has a unique rainfall effect. The water is flung to the sides of the clear container like rain splashing against your window.
Finally, we provide a first look preview of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra robotic vacuum and mop. It has several enhancements over our previously-recommended Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
